Our mission is to produce model citizens who know how to use their knowledge for the benefit of their community, country and humanity.   
AL Mahd Day Boarding School (AMDBS) began in October 1997 with 40 students and two villas. Today we have three full-fledged campuses in Saar, Samaheej and East Riffa and over 2500 students. In 2004, the school was awarded International Centre Status by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), of Cambridge University, which is one of the world’s leading providers of educational qualifications and assessments. This status reflects the quality of teaching and the high standards of administration demonstrated throughout the school.

The aim of education at Al Mahd is to promote a balanced development of our children through a well-structured curriculum and healthy environment.

We believe in having spacious colorful classrooms that make learning fun. Our low teacher-student ratio also enables teachers to give personal attention to all students.

Our well equipped science laboratories are designed to help students explore and satisfy their curiosity about science.

We have a mini-stadium that covers an area of approximately 20,000 square meters and consists of a standard football pitch, six-lane running track, two basketball courts, a junior football field, four volleyball courts, a shaded KG corner and provision for field events and seating arrangements.  At AMDBS, no stone is left unturned to ensure that our students enjoy good health and learn to excel in their chosen sport.

Additional Facilities

Transport
A fleet of air conditioned buses operate throughout Bahrain. Interested parents can contact the school office for more details and transport requisition form. It is important to note that the school reserves the right to withdraw the transport facility from the children who do not maintain disclipline in the buses and do not obey rules and regulations.
 
School Store
Run for the convenience of our parents, the school store carries the sports uniform, all the prescribed textbooks, workbooks and necessary stationary items for purchase at a reasonable rate.

Canteen
A source of fresh and healthy snacks, juices and cold drinks during break time.

Our Staff

Al Mahd gives high priority to employing qualified teachers who are experienced and well motivated.

All members of the staff know that it is important to have regular communication with parents and try to make themselves available as often as possible for you to talk to them. 

Parents can also take an appointment with a teacher to discuss specific issues or concerns.
